For companies working over multiple geographic locations and have the need to provide their customers with local currency purchasing experience, Rebillia supports all currency codes and allows its merchants to work with multiple currencies at the same time. The following documentation will run through the “Currencies” interface and its parts.
Introduction
Multi currency support is built-in for Advanced and Enterprise accounts, while it is an add-on (dependent on the number of currencies added) for our Free and Standard plans.
While using multi currency, all individual data points (like pricing elements, invoices, email communications, customer control panel etc.) will display the native currency the subscription was purchased in and all executive data points (like analytics, daily summaries etc.) will be consolidated to the merchant’s “Base Currency”.
Base Currency
Each Rebillia account will have one base currency assigned to it. This is normally the currency that is registered when initially creating the account with Rebillia. The purpose of the “Base Currency” is to always hold one available, un-removable, currency.
This currency can not be changed once it is set. If you need to change your base currency, please contact our team.
Additional Currencies
When adding an additional currency to your account, Rebillia will always calculate the exchange rate against your account’s base currency. Also, Rebillia will keep updating the exchange rate every working day around 16:00 CET.
Alongside our auto exchange rate calculations, Rebillia also offers merchants to manually set their desired exchange rate.
Setting up Additional Currencies
Navigate to “Settings” on the main navigation menu, select the “Currencies” from the sub navigation menu on the top and click on the “Add Additional Currency” link in the main page content.
Select the currency you would like to add from the dropdown menu and the exchange rate method from the radio button list.
Gateway-Currency Compatibility
Every gateway works differently in regards to supporting multi currency. While some full support multi currency under one account, others may require creating separate “merchant account ID”s and even holding multiple, separate, accounts altogether.
Please make sure you contact your current payment provider and inquire about multi currency support.
